After hours of researching and reflecting on how we can give back, one big question guided us: Do we focus on international efforts or support our local community?

In the end, the answer became clear. While global efforts are incredibly important, focusing locally allows us to make a meaningful difference in a small area that always needs help. That’s why I’m so excited to share some big news—Salinity Swimwear is now committing 1% of our annual sales to support environmental causes right here in Baja California Sur!

This means that every purchase you make directly contributes to protecting and restoring the incredible ecosystems that inspire everything we create.

Why Baja California Sur?

Baja California Sur is an ecological treasure, surrounded by ocean life that rivals the Galápagos Islands. Its waters are home to an incredible diversity of marine species—from sea turtles and whale sharks to humpback whales and manta rays. It’s a place of unmatched natural beauty, but it also faces significant challenges.

In Mexico, environmental initiatives often lack the financial resources and support they need to thrive. Many rely on grassroots efforts and community volunteers to protect these fragile ecosystems. By focusing our efforts here in Baja, we can make a meaningful impact where it’s needed most.

The Local Causes You’re Supporting

Deciding which causes to support was no small task. We spent weeks researching, weighing our options, and asking ourselves where our contributions could make the greatest impact. In the end, the answer was surprisingly simple. The two organizations we chose are right here in Baja California Sur and one in our hometown of Todos Santos, both doing incredible work.

Every year, marine and coastal animals in Baja face dangers from entanglement, habitat degradation, and human activity. The Marine and Wildlife Rescue Center steps in as a critical lifeline for these creatures, providing:

• A dedicated facility for recovery and treatment before returning animals to their natural habitat.

Their mission ensures that some of Baja’s most vulnerable animals have a second chance at life in the wild.

Baja’s pristine beauty faces threats from plastic pollution, overfilled landfills, and unsustainable waste management practices. Cero Basura BCS (Zero Waste Baja California Sur) is working toward a cleaner, greener future by:
